Ingredients:
• 1 cup gram flour (besan)
• 1/4 cup rice flour
• 1/2 tsp red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
• Salt to taste
• Water as required
• Oil for frying
•1 cup chopped vegetables (onions, potatoes, cauliflower, spinach, etc.)
Method:
1. In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, and salt. Mix well.
2. Add water slowly to make a thick batter without any lumps.
3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
4. Dip the chopped vegetables in the batter and coat well.
5. Drop the coated vegetables into the hot oil and fry on medium flame until golden brown.
6. Drain the pakodas on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
7. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
